Description
In today’s world, every leader must be able to communicate effectively. AACT’s Marketing Workshops give high school students the tools they need to craft their message, build their brand, and connect with their audience; Whether that be for a political campaign, or a new business. Initially led by Councilman Aurelio Mattucci and AACT President Dylan Wakayama, this course blends political insight with real-world marketing experience.
Campaign Strategy and Political Literacy
Students learn the building blocks of running for office, including how to craft persuasive messages, conduct outreach, and understand public perception. The course offers a clear and practical look at how campaigns function on a local level.
Marketing Across Industries
The skills taught in this workshop apply far beyond politics. Students gain a foundation in branding and communication that can be used in entrepreneurship, business, social media, and leadership roles of all kinds.
Pitching and Public Speaking
The final week focuses on presenting yourself with confidence. Through elevator pitches, mock interviews, and speech practice, students sharpen their public speaking abilities and learn how to make a lasting impression. Additional resources are available on our youth engagement page.
Visual Design and Social Media Skills
From print materials to digital platforms, students get hands-on experience creating flyers, graphics, and social content. The emphasis is on building a consistent and compelling visual identity.
