Description

At the heart of our work is the belief that informed communities are empowered communities. Through our News & Media Initiative Program, we aim to bridge the gap between civic institutions and everyday people by creating accessible, culturally relevant content. Whether that’s breaking down policy, amplifying community voices, or clarifying key issues, our goal is to ensure that every American has the tools to navigate and shape the civic landscape.

Civic Media & Social Campaigns

AACT develops timely and engaging content that breaks down complex issues into clear, relatable messages. From voter guides to public safety explainers, our campaigns educate and mobilize communities across platforms like Instagram and Facebook.

Community Journalism & Storytelling

Highlighting underrepresented voices and local stories that mainstream media often overlook through interviews, photo essays, and first-person narratives, we amplify the lived experiences of Americans and their impact on civic life.

Youth Media & Content Creation

We train young people to become the next generation of media makers and public speakers. Participants gain hands-on experience in writing, editing, graphic design, and issue-based storytelling that empowers both creators and their communities. Read more on our volunteer page.

Information Access Initiatives

We work to ensure that vital information is accessible across multiple languages and digital platforms. From translated materials to easy-to-understand infographics, we break down barriers that often exclude immigrant and multilingual households.
